One of my favorite things to eat in the morning is a bar. Doesn’t matter what type! It could be a protein bar, granola bar, fiber bar, candy bar, or any other crazy bar I can lay my hands on. Because of this, I am always on the look for a new bar to sink my teeth into.

That’s why I love my Vegan Cuts box. Every month I get to try out a ton of goodies, and more often than not there are a few bars in my box. A company that I have gotten a few times now is Sheffa. In three different months I have gotten three different granola bars; Pink Salt Dark Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, and Mint Chocolate.

Sheffa Foods

Sheffa is a brand that places a big focus on providing their customers with products that will have an abundance of everything you might need from a food source. They carry bars, dips, mixes and more!

“Our mission is to bring you foods with an abundance of delicious, authentic flavor as well as vital energy. We start with the finest ingredients available—whole, unprocessed, natural foods—then skillfully blend them to create an exceptional balance of flavors, textures, and essential nutrients. We want you to love the foods that love you back.”

Leslie & Amotz

These granola bars are vegan, gluten-free, non-gmo, and have no trans fat. They are also kosher parve! But the best part about these guys is that they are all-natural! You won’t have to stare at the ingredients list trying to decipher words that look Greek.

But, are they any good?

The first bite I took into the bar left me feeling confused at what I was expecting the texture to be. It reminded me of a Rice Krispies bar, except a bit dryer without the marshmallows. Or it reminded me of one of those cereal bars but without the milk part. This was not the texture I was expecting from a granola bar. With all of that said, once I was used to the texture I was able to enjoy the bar.

This is definitely a dark chocolate bar. So, if you do not like dark chocolate, you might want to try some of their other products instead. There is a bit of sweetness that helps cover up the bitterness that comes with dark chocolate. It was a perfect level for me. The taste of dark chocolate but without the bitterness. That’s my type of chocolate! As for the salt, I couldn’t taste too much of it.

This bar was – spoiler alert – my favorite of the three! It was sweeter than the Pink Salt Dark Chocolate bar. I think this is mostly due to there being no Pink Salt. But, the reason this is my favorite out of the three bars is because of the added chocolate chips. These chocolate chips add some moisture to a bar that tends to be a bit more dry. Plus, the chocolate chips melt in your mouth!! Who doesn’t love that?!

Mint Dark Chocolate

Nutritional Information

Serving Size: One bar

This bar also had chocolate chips. However, it was crunchier than both of the other bars. The chocolate chips still melt in your month! Which is always a plus! As for the mint, when I first tried  this bar out the mint tasted really strange to me. Not bad, but also not like the normal mint that I taste in products. As I ate more of the bar the mint got stronger and became a lot more enjoyable. I generally tasted a stronger mint flavor. When I wasn’t biting into any chocolate chips the granola bar overpowered the mint.

Would I buy this again?

100%! I loved the Dark Chocolate bar! I could see myself eating this for a mid-morning snack, out camping, or on-the-go. Also, I really enjoyed the Mint Dark Chocolate bar. However, this one would be a bar I would eat more in the evening as a snack or special treat. Mint is always a special treat for me!

I was not as big of a fan of the Pink Salt Dark Chocolate bar. It was a bit too dry for me. Without the chocolate chips there to help it, you will need something close by to drink. However, if you are not as big a fan of sweet things then I would aim for this guy. It is still a bit sweet but not as sweet as the other two. The salt really helps combat the added sugars.

Which one is your favorite?
