Valentine’s Day is approaching! The day of love, ice cream, chocolate, and more. Whether you are celebrating it with your loved one, with friends, your cats, or not at all, having a yummy dessert is always nice! The dessert we will be having at the Rice household this year are these Vegan Poached Pears.
3 Bosc Pears
6 Ounces of Rosé Wine
6 Ounces of Water
6 Tbsp of Maple Syrup
1 Tsp of Ground Cinnamon
1 Tsp of Lemon Juice
Pinch of Ground Cloves
Optional: Vegan Vanilla Ice Cream
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Peel, slice, and core the Pears.
Combine the Wine, Water, Maple Syrup, Cinnamon, and Lemon Juice into a bowl. Whisk well.
Place the pears facedown in a baking pan so that they are not touching. Add the syrup. Cook for 30 minutes.
Remove the pears from the pan and set aside.
Pour syrup into a saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Optional: Add Vegan Ice Cream.
Sprinkle cloves over dish. Add syrup.
